Questions
What does Beatoptic actually do?
You type in an artist you make beats for. Beatoptic finds the similar artists and tells you, for each one, whether it's worth making type beats for right now: are people really watching them, can a newer channel rank, which angles are working, and a title to use.
Where does the data come from, and how fresh is it?
Public YouTube data (type beat search results, their titles and view counts, and YouTube's own search suggestions) plus Last.fm to find artists that sound alike. Only type beats that actually name the artist count. Each artist refreshes on a rolling schedule, usually every 2 to 4 weeks, and artists people are looking at get refreshed first. Every artist page shows when it was last updated.
What do Yes, Maybe, No and Not yet mean?
Yes: people are watching these type beats and the competition is beatable. Maybe: one of those is weak, and we show you which. No: too few people watching, or too much competition from established channels, and we point you to the best artist in your search that does pass. Not yet: there aren't enough recent type beats for that artist (at least 5 from 3 different producers last month) to give an honest answer.
Do I have to connect my YouTube channel?
No. Artist Intel works without it. Plan and Performance use your channel, and you can connect it later in Settings. Beatoptic only reads public data. It never uploads or changes anything on your channel.
What's free, and what does Pro add?
Free: Artist Intel with 3 searches a day, with the top pick of each search fully unlocked. Pro ($14/month+ tax): a Yes or No on every artist, the angles that are working and a title for each, Producer Intel, Plan, Performance tracking, and SEO tags.
How does billing work? Can I cancel anytime?
Pro is billed monthly through Stripe. We never see or store your card number. You can cancel anytime from Settings. You keep Pro until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
Do you offer refunds?
Payments aren't refunded for partial months or unused time, except where the law requires it. If you think you were charged by mistake, email seth@beatoptic.com within 30 days of the charge and we'll make it right. The details are in our Terms.
Will this guarantee my beats get views?
No, and anyone who promises that is lying. Beatoptic shows you where the demand is and how hard it is to rank, so you stop uploading into niches that can't work. The beat, the title, the thumbnail and showing up every week are still on you.
